University of Applied Sciences

In collaboration with the North Westphalia Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Münster University of Applied Sciences offers a dual degree programme in Business Administration that combines the benefits of commercial training with an academic degree. The main advantages are clear: you save time, earn money whilst studying, and receive two qualifications after just seven semesters: the Diploma in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts.

The dual degree programme in Business Administration is divided into two parts:

You complete the first phase, which lasts three semesters, with your IHK commercial examination. To prepare for this, you are active at three different learning locations: you spend three days a week at Venti Oelde, where you undertake your apprenticeship and acquire practical business management skills. You will acquire the theoretical and academic components on Fridays and Saturdays at the IHK. In addition, you will spend one day a week at the Hansa Berufskolleg in Münster.

In the second phase of your studies, you will work at Venti four days a week. Here, you will take on increasingly independent tasks and prepare for future management roles through projects and working groups. On Fridays and Saturdays, you will deepen your theoretical and academic knowledge at the IHK.

The courses are supplemented by one week of attendance per semester and around five days of examinations.

In the sixth semester, you will write your bachelor’s thesis, which also serves as your final written examination for the degree of Diplom-Betriebswirt, which you will receive at the end of this semester. In the sixth and seventh semesters, you will specialise in your chosen field of study. You have the option to choose between the advanced modules in International Marketing, Controlling, Finance and Logistics. Your studies conclude with an academic colloquium and the award of the Bachelor of Arts degree.

In just three and a half years, you will earn an internationally recognised university degree and will also have completed vocational training – and thus gained practical work experience. A clear advantage in the job market.
