What awaits you
In-company training
We offer you a highly practical training programme. In the first year of your training, you will be introduced to working with various materials and tools through metalworking and sheet metalworking courses. In the subsequent years of your training, you will rotate through our various departments to acquire all the specialist knowledge you need. Exam-focused training content will be tailored to your needs throughout this period.
Vocational school
You will attend the vocational school in Beckum once or twice a week. To help you prepare for Parts 1 and 2 of the final examination, we offer you the opportunity to take part in exam preparation courses. If you perform well or have the relevant prior knowledge, you have the option of shortening your training period.
Opportunities for further training
Once you have completed your training as a plant mechanic, there are many career development opportunities open to you. For example, you can gain further qualifications to become a metalworking foreman or a state-certified technician (e.g. in mechanical engineering). You also have the opportunity to specialise in areas such as apparatus and container design, welding and joining technology, pipework construction, quality assurance or work planning.
