The German Chamber of Commerce in Austria (DHK) is part of the network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs) with over 150 locations in 93 countries. Additionally, it is closely linked to the network of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHKs). The umbrella organization for the IHKs is the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) in Berlin, which also coordinates and supervises the AHK network.

For over 100 years, the DHK has represented the interests of German businesses in Austria. With around 1,400 companies, it is the largest German-Austrian economic network in Austria. It promotes bilateral economic relations between Germany and Austria, supports companies with their business activities through numerous services, and represents leading German trade fairs in Austria.

As a 'One-Stop-Shop' for market entry in Austria, the DHK offers a comprehensive range of services tailored to individual company needs. It assists with the initial steps in the Austrian market and provides answers to legal and tax questions. The DHK's service company, HK Bilanz & Service GmbH, handles tasks such as payroll accounting, VAT representation, and bookkeeping.

Digital and analog events facilitate direct contact with decision-makers from business and politics, and enable companies to meet future business partners. With a membership in the AHK Austria, companies also benefit from the global network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs), of which AHK Austria is a part.
